Graduation & Dresses

I am so tired. After graduation, most schools host a project grad. This is where you stay up ALL NIGHT and play games to win money, and at the end there is an auction. Since that night a couple days ago, my sleeping pattern has been so messed up.

None the less, I have some pictures to share with all of you! I created a dress for my niece's birthday. However, she finally admitted that the sleeves are too tight, so I have to fix those today. (ugh)

I ended up having to borrow my aunt's machine to make it.

(The dress was made out of sheets that someone gave away)

I also made my first tag! I used some ribbon I had and stamped it with ink. Then I ironed it, sewed down the sides, and sewed it into the neckline.

Now I'm currently working on my first dress that will be sold to someone. Talk about pressure!

Wish me luck!

Graduation & Birthdays

So yesterday was my last day of high school...
HALLELUJAH!
It literally feels like yesterday I was jumping out of swings and playing tag...how time flies..

Well, you know how I just celebrated my niece's birthday? This weekend I'm celebrating her older sister's birthday as well! Now I'm sure you're all thinking: "How are you going to make her a present with a broken sewing machine?" Not to worry! I've arranged to borrow my aunt's machine to make her dress. I wish I could just keep it, haha.. please? sigh... I'm going nuts with finding all of these cute patterns and having no machine to make them with.

I've already chosen what dress I want to make her, too. This pattern just looks gorgeous. I'm broke, so I only have sheets to work with for fabric. If I make this dress again, I'm definitely going to get some cute, coordinating colors.
Well, enough about my problems! I hope you're all out enjoying this beautiful day!

Happy Mother's Day!

We had this sweet little girl's birthday party today.

I love her too much! If you could hear her voice, you would die happy. haha.. But seriously, she has the cutest voice in the whole world. I love all of my nieces and my one nephew.

And as I promised, I took pictures of the dress I made her! (and headband)

It's really late and I have school tomorrow, but I just had to get these up today! :)

Oh, and I also wanted to share with you this fabric that I am in LOVE with. I want to make a really cute dress out of it. I got it from a quilt show for FIVE dollars! They were practically giving fabric away because I went on the last day! (I know the price is over five, but she let me pay less because she wanted to sell what she had!) The moral of this story is to ALWAYS go on the last day of a quilt show!

And a Happy Mother's Day to the best mom a girl could ask for.. I love you!

I hope you all had a great Mother's Day!

A Little Bit of Everything

First, I must say that Prom was FANTASTIC!
Grand march went smoothly, although being in the extremely hot hallways while we waited was not fun. My flowers were gorgeous and I went with a fun date! (we're just friends) I never knew that I would love dancing so much! It was probably one of the most fun nights of my life.. sigh.. :)

Anyhoo, I wanted to tell you all that I'm waiting until my niece's birthday party (this weekend) to take pictures of her dress, because that is her present from me. I'm super excited about it.
I've been starting conditioning for college volleyball (I don't know if I told you that I played volleyball or not, but.. I do! And I love it!) My legs literally feel like jello.

And graduation is swiftly approaching!!
It's so crazy how one day you're starting kindergarten; fighting over crayons and what not, and then you're 18 and ready to move out.. Where has the time gone??
Today I took my superlative picture for being voted Most Talented by the senior class. I don't believe I deserve it, but I am so honored!
And finally, I need to start sewing another dress.. I've been all over Pinterest and through my Create Kids Couture patterns, there is just so many to choose from!
Wish me luck!
