Hello, Goodbye

So I finished taking the senior pictures of the girl in my last post. And I just have to share a couple of my favorites with you!!

No, that's not real rain that just happened to fall when I was taking pictures of her with an umbrella.. I used a hose! Great substitute, right? I'm really happy with how these turned out! :)

Well I'm getting my cap and gown for graduation today! (insert nervous shriek here) I'm excited! And terrified! And excited!!

My sister-in-law magically fixed my sewing machine last night! ..only for me to get a few stitches in today and it freaks out on me again. sigh.. I'm really going to go crazy if it doesn't start working properly. I can only take so much!

I hope you all are having a great time with any projects that you're creating. Hopefully your sewing machine won't hate you like mine does me!

Busy Bee!

Yes...I know. I haven't posted in forever and I've only just started this blog! Are you ready for my great list of excuses? Here I go...

1. I was on spring break in Florida for a week (No, not Panama - I am not a big partier or drinker! It was a simple vacation with my parents.)

2. I had so much school work to get done before spring break and after.

3. I'm trying to get everything sorted for prom and graduation! These are no easy tasks!

4. Well... this list wasn't going to be as long as I thought.

But it's true, I've been pretty busy with no time to talk to you fabulous people! Oh! And I almost forgot - my sewing machine is BROKEN. I think it is fixable, but it may be awhile before I can post any sewing projects now. :( My sewing machine.. the only thing that was keeping me sane right now! So perhaps I will post some no-sew projects instead..

I've also been busy taking someone's senior pictures. Want to peek?

She is super fun to work with and can act natural in front of the camera! It's great! I'm actually about to get ready to leave and meet her for her other session. I just love taking pictures. :) And in no means am I a professional photographer. But I hope I'm getting better!

Finished!

I finished the dress! But I forgot to snap some pictures with my good camera of my niece wearing it! I will definitely post those pictures later, though. I got a little confused while making it because the pattern had me going back and forth between two tutorials. But I finished it! I also took some quick pictures in the process of making the dress.

And my other niece had a blast playing with the scrap thread. :)

I can't wait to start my sister-in-law's dress! I'm kind of nervous about making a bigger size, though. Wish me luck!
