Pillow Case Dress

So guess what!
I found a free pattern for a pillow case dress on Pinterest!
It's a little different, however. It has a bow in the front - super cute! And don't worry - I don't do EVERYTHING from Pinterest. I've actually made a couple of dresses from Create Kids Couture that I need to share with y'all! Anyways, here are some pictures to show the beginning of my pillow case dress project!

Also, I got this nifty organizer from Thirty-One! Perfect for holding all of my sewing stuff!
I picked up a pattern for my sister-in-law. I've made a dress for her two daughters, and now I'm going to make one for her and a tie for my brother. Then I'm going to take a family portrait for them wearing all of the clothes I made! How cool is that??
And finally, this is what the headband I made in my last post looks like with your hair down! A couple of my friends are begging me to make them one too!
I hope you've had fun reading this! I'm definitely new to this, so any advice would be awesome! Thanks for taking your time to read this! :)

Pinterest...My Best Friend

Let me start off by saying: I LOVE PINTEREST!
I love it. I love it. I love it.
Now, with that off of my chest, I can continue!
I decided to share with you a very simple headband I made that I found on (wait for it) Pinterest! It was so easy to make - I literally made it in 5 minutes or less!

I think the frayed edges give it a nice texture.
All you have to do is:
1. Cut three 1" pieces of fabric
2. Use a bulldog clip or safety pin to hold them together at one end
3. Braid the three pieces of fabric (Your braid should be about 6 inches short of going around your head)
4. Cut a thick hair tie in half
5. Sew one side of the hair tie to the end of your braid
6. Sew the other side of the hair tie to the other end of your braid
7. Take scrap fabric and roll it around the messy ends and sew
Ta-da! You have a cute headband!
It looks even cuter if you make a second one and wear them at the same time!
Happy headband making!
